Renovation of a 15th/16th century abbey

The abbey, originally built in 15th century, is in a stunning position at the entrance of the Susa valley and in face of the Benedectine 10th century Sacra di San Michele. As to the preservation program, that was conducted in collaboration with the local preservation authorities, the general approach was to eliminate all the recent additions and to restore as much as possible the original simplicity of typology as well as of decoration.
