The site is at the sprawling edge of Rosta a small town at the entrance of the valley of Susa. The program consists in hosting the local associations and includes meeting rooms, a small music hall and a cafeteria.
The imposing view of the mount Musinè suggested to conceive the building as a standpoint on the mount itself and on the surrounding area of the Alps. The shape of the building is indeed designed to allow from the circular courtyard the view of the woods nearby and of the mountains, as well as to exclude the view towards the generic buildings of the sprawl. In this sense the building functions as an optical device that gives the illusion to be closer to wilderness, in a deliberate strategy of illusion or reverie.
